NUDE CARES

NUDE Cares 2022: The Children of Ukraine

In aid of the war-torn children of Ukraine, we’ll donate $2 from each table at Marina One and each delivery order, from 25 Mar to 30 Apr. We’ll also be holding a bake sale of 6 French macarons for $12, with all proceeds going to the kids.

We’ll donate through UNICEF, which is working across eastern Ukraine to scale up lifesaving programs for children; delivering midwifery, first aid kits and treatment equipment to Kyiv; prepositioning health, hygiene and emergency education supplies as close as possible to communities near the line of contact; and working with municipalities to ensure there is immediate help for children and families in need.

NUDE Cares 2021: Port Dickson WHITE FLAG MOVEMENT

With your help, we raised $4906, RM15000 in July & August 2021. Together with our Chef’s father-in-law in Port Dickson, we’ve helped 100 families with daily necessities so far, and will be doing more

Our year hasn’t been easy, but others are having a far harder time. We are inspired by #benderaputih, the White Flag Movement for community self-help: “Malaysians are encouraging struggling families and individuals to raise a white flag and signal for help, so that the community can provide relief… The message to their struggling neighbours and community is clear: "There is no need to plead or to be embarrassed."

Many of our teammates are from Malaysia, so this cause is close to our heart. Longing for family and home across the border—closed for 21 months and counting—has amplified our desire to help. We chose Port Dickson because it’s the hometown of our chef’s wife and some of our team.

We can’t change the world, but we can make it better for the people around us.

NUDE Cares 2020: Autism Association (Singapore)

Thanks for doing good with us! Eating well, with meaning.

We collected $8787 for the Autism Association (Singapore) in 2020, by saving from each table that dined with us. We’ve also cooked twice for them - in June 2020 for the two Eden Centres for Adults, and in October 2020 on Children’s Day for the Eden Centre for Children

When the crisis hit, we decided to go back to our starting point—food like the laughter of children; honest, generous, joyful. We’re receiving a lot of support and love from our regular customers, families and friends during this tough period. We want to pay the kindness forward to the less fortunate.

This work with the AA(S) gives us meaning, and is a deep source of joy and comfort in the storm.

Even as we struggle to keep our team together and our business afloat, we build up the NUDE Cares Fund, brick by brick. It’s not much, but it’s our part.
