A whole boneless fillet of sashimi-grade salmon, ASC-certified sustainable! The Silver Salmon is a native Pacific salmon, preferred by the Japanese over Atlantic salmon for its umami, texture, deep colour, and for cultural reasons--it was the salmon historically caught in Hokkaido. Grown in the clear waters of Chile for the Japanese market, this is the salmon that the whole family will enjoy. Suggest to thaw unopened fillet under running water for 15 minutes, then slice and enjoy immediately. Unfinished salmon can be cooked the next day (but not sashimi).
Strongly recommend this larger 1200-1500g fillet for sashimi, it is firmer and more umami. The smaller 900-1200g fillet is better for cooking
Note: Raw fish needs extra care
- Keep fish cold at all times (avoid room temperature)
- Keep hands, knife, board, towels very clean
